The Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa has been commended for her efforts at redefining the identity of Nigerians in Diaspora.

The commendation was contained in a Press release issued by the President of the US-Nigeria Trade Council, Engr. Titus Olowokere while congratulating her on her first year in office as the head of the Nigerian Diaspora Commission.

Engr. Olowokere who described Dabiri-Erewa as a pragmatic and dynamic leader, said her doggedness and conviction, brought about the establishment of the commission which has recorded success in the last one year.

According to him, "today is the celebration of one of the few times Nigeria has a round peg in a round hole in governance. It shows. It feels like five years of Office, judging from concrete achievements and notable milestones", he said.
