“I DON’T FEEL MARRIED” — FOLUKE DARAMOLA OPENS UP ABOUT HER MARRIAGE

Popular Nollywood actress Foluke Daramola has opened up about her marriage, saying she does not feel restricted despite being married to activist Kayode Salako.

Speaking during a recent appearance on the African A-List podcast, the actress described her husband as the “definition of peace,” noting that he gives her complete freedom and support.

Daramola explained that her relationship feels more like a strong friendship, adding that Salako encourages her independence rather than placing limitations on her.

“I don’t feel like I’m married. My husband is the definition of peace for me. If I tell Kayode now that I’m travelling to Canada tonight and may stay for up to a year, he would simply say goodbye. It doesn’t mean he doesn’t love me; he just believes he shouldn’t cage me,” she said.

She added that despite occasional disagreements, they resolve issues quickly and remain supportive of each other.

“He is my very good friend and my greatest cheerleader. When we fight, it may look serious, but within two hours, everything is settled,” she added.

Her comments come two years after Salako confirmed he married another woman, Oluwafunke Oyegoke-Salako, while still married to Daramola. He had explained that the decision followed 13 years of marriage without a biological child.

The couple tied the knot in 2010.
