Queen Atang has sparked widespread reactions online after appearing at the 12th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) in a bread-inspired outfit made from 500 loaves of bread.
The former Big Brother Naija star showcased the unusual costume on the AMVCA red carpet, complete with a matching bread-themed prop, drawing attention across social media platforms.
Reacting to the viral look in the comment section of a video shared on Queen’s Instagram page, Guinness World Records hinted at a possible record comparison.
“Well, we do have a record for the largest cake dress … hmmm,” the organisation wrote.
Responding to the comment, Queen wrote: “Hello @guinnessworldrecords, I see you in the comment section.”
According to Guinness World Records, the current record for the world’s largest wearable cake dress weighs 131.15kg and was achieved by Natasha Coline Kim Fah Lee Fokas of SweetyCakes GmbH in Switzerland in January 2023.
Queen explained that the bread-themed outfit was inspired by her entrepreneurial journey in the food business.
“AMVCA 2026 ready. I come as an entrepreneur who runs a bread EMPIRE,” she wrote while unveiling the costume, referencing her bakery brand.
Beyond the fashion statement, the reality TV star also used the moment to advocate for greater recognition of entrepreneurs within the AMVCA platform.
In an open letter addressed to MultiChoice Group and Africa Magic, Queen proposed the introduction of a dedicated entrepreneurs’ showcase event alongside the awards ceremony.
“Imagine AMVCA Nigerian Entrepreneurs Night. Massive, classy, and inspiring,” she wrote.
