Man City Star Semenyo Beats Haaland, Others Bags EPL Player of the Month Honour

Antoine Semenyo has been crowned the Premier League Player of the Month for February following a standout run of performances for Manchester City F.C..

The Ghana international delivered three goals and one assist in five league matches during the month, playing a crucial role in City’s push for the league title. The defending champions also extended their unbeaten streak to seven matches during that period.

Reacting to the honour, Semenyo described the award as a special milestone early in his journey with Manchester City.

He said winning the Premier League Player of the Month so soon after joining the club was something he would never forget. The forward added that he has enjoyed an incredible start to life at City and feels he is improving every day.

Semenyo also praised the warm reception he has received at the club, noting that it has helped him stay focused and perform at his best on the pitch. He emphasized that his main objective is to keep improving and help the team achieve strong results as the season approaches its decisive stage.

The forward opened his February scoring with a clinical left-footed strike in City’s 2–2 draw away to Tottenham Hotspur F.C.. He followed that with a goal and an assist in a commanding 3–0 victory over Fulham F.C..

Semenyo capped off the month with a poacher’s finish that secured a narrow win against Leeds United F.C..

The attacker has now scored 15 league goals this season. Only his teammate Erling Haaland with 22 goals and Igor Thiago of Brentford F.C., who has 18, have found the net more times in the competition.

Semenyo becomes the second Manchester City player to claim the monthly award this season after Haaland won it in September.
