AFROBEATS STAR ASAKE REINVENTS SOUND, UNVEILS NEW ALBUM M$NEY

Afrobeats star Asake has returned to the spotlight with his highly anticipated album M$NEY, a 13-track project that highlights his growth and expanding global influence.

The singer announced the album on April 22, ahead of its May 1 release, sparking excitement across social media. The project marks another milestone for the “Mr. Money With The Vibe” hitmaker, whose rapid rise has cemented his place as one of Afrobeats’ leading voices.

Known for blending Afrobeats with amapiano and Fuji elements, Asake continues to push creative boundaries while maintaining his street-inspired sound. To promote the album, he unveiled a striking visual featuring a marble sculpture of himself created by Iraqi-Dutch artist Arthar Jabar, symbolising his growing legacy.

M$NEY explores themes of ambition, success, resilience, and fame, reflecting Asake’s journey from Lagos to international stages. The album also marks a new chapter in his career, as it is his first full-length project under his imprint, Giran Republic, following his reported exit from YBNL Nation. The project is released in partnership with EMPIRE, signalling a move toward greater creative independence.

The album is supported by already popular tracks like “Why Love,” “Worship,” featuring DJ Snake, and “Badman Gangsta” with Tiakola, showcasing a mix of local and international collaborations.

With this release, Asake further strengthens his reputation as a symbol of ambition and upward mobility, connecting with audiences across Africa and beyond.
