Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has finally addressed the viral moment involving Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham at the premiere of The Return of Arinzo.
A video circulating online showed Toyin approaching a table where Iyabo sat with Mercy Aigbe and Funke. While Iyabo and Mercy greeted Toyin warmly, Funke reportedly turned away, creating an awkward moment that sparked debate across social media.
Reacting via Instagram, Iyabo revealed she had previously stepped in to reconcile the two actresses. She said she begged both parties to embrace peace, and they agreed to stop throwing shade at each other online. However, tensions resurfaced in December after Toyin accused cinemas and unnamed individuals of sabotaging her movie — a claim some fans linked to Funke, reigniting the feud.
Iyabo also disclosed that Toyin was originally meant to appear in The Return of Arinzo but withdrew at the last minute due to exhaustion and travel plans, forcing a costly script rewrite. Despite the setback, she said they later resolved their issues.
Expressing disappointment, Iyabo stressed that “the sky is big enough for everyone” and announced she would no longer intervene. She added that both stars will make peace when they are ready.
